Orhan Ademi
Nationality: Switzerland / Macedonia /
Albania
Age: 21
D.O.B: 28/10/1991
Place of Birth: St. Gallen
Position: Forward
Club: Eintracht Braunschweig
Orham Ademi currently plays for Eintracht Braunschewig in the German 2
Bundesliga. He started his career playing in the Austrian Erste Liga where he
played a total of 96 games scoring a rather impressive 30 goals (3.2 games per
goal).
In the current 2012-13 season, Ademi has been snapped up by the 2
Bundesliga side where he has already found the net 4 times in 16 appearances as
he establishes himself as a fundamental pillar of the current side.
Ademi was late last
year called up to the Swiss national under 21 squad for the play-off games
against Germany – however he did not make an appearance, which might prove
beneficial should the Albanian FA want to pursue the youngsters services.
Orham Ademi is one of
the latest in a string of Albanian players to feature for the Swiss national
team, and it is a matter of time before he, like Xhaka and Shaqiri, is called
up to represent the Swiss.
His time at Eintracht
Braunschweig is bound to be cut short by offers once he is fully established as
a player in the next season or so. Ademi has the speed and technique and game
awareness to ensure that he makes a mark on the game. It will be highly
unlikely for any of the Albanian speaking nations to convince him to represent
them considering that his mentality may be slightly different from the rest of
the Albanian players out there – he may have seen what his fellow Albanians are
capable of doing when presented with the right opportunities (e.g. Xherdan
Shaqiri) and as such his ambition may force him to seek the optimum conditions
to develop his game.
