Enis Alushi
Nationality: German / Kosovar
Age: 27
D.O.B: 22/12/1985
Place of Birth: Mitrovica
Position: Central Midfielder
Club: Kaiserslautern
Enis Alushi is a decent central midfielder who as a youth earned
himself a reputation good enough to warrant a call-up from the German U-19
national team.
Alushi is a midfielder by trade,
a trade that started at TV Obernhundem as a youth and culminated in the signing
of a professional with FC Koln 2 in 2004 – the same year as he was picked to
represent the Germany Under 19’s.
He quickly progressed through the
ranks and was able to move to FC Koln’s main squad, before leaving to join SV
Wehen Wiesbaden. A season later, Alushi joined SC Paderborn 07, where he
featured regularly and was picked 131 times where he scored in 5 occasions.
This season he is representing FC
Kaiserslautern and we are certain that he will climb up the ranks to attract a
contract into the German Bundesliga. Had the Albanian FA shown enough interest,
they might have been able to attract a potential powerhouse to a national team
lacking midfield options, however in Alushi’s case, we will all just have to
wonder as to what it could have been.
Alushi has been reported as
being engaged to Fatmire Bajramaj – one of the best female footballers in the
world – who is also coincidentally of Albanian heritage.
